SOCIOLOGY OF ORGANISATIONS

The main aim of the course is, after a brief, to-the-point theoretical introduction to the sociology of organisations, to present the practical applicability and potential uses of this body of knowledge. A further aim of the course is for participants to acquire a basic-level ability to interpret statistical data, databases, and graphs, and to apply them to local conditions. During the semester, with the instructor’s guidance, students carry out a joint organisational-sociology research project in the field of SPECIAL EDUCATION (they put together a questionnaire and an interview outline, conduct interviews and administer questionnaires, and then jointly analyse the results obtained).

This course is particularly recommended for students who wish to prepare a TDK (Scientific Students’ Association) paper, but the knowledge acquired during the semester will also provide useful material for any student interested in research.
